Dawn: Back in Black (2001) Limited Print Remarked by Joseph Michael Linsner [1204/1500]

This print, Dawn: Back in Black, was the first print produced by Linsner.com (DOTCOM Print #1) in 2001. I miss that website. They had a whole online checklist for every piece of art Joe had done which was published anywhere (including advertisements and promos) as well as all of the merchandise he had lent his art to (statues, figures, t-shirts, etc.). At that time, I was a completist collector, and having that list was gold! I think I got up to being the 7th in the world in terms of most items owned. Of course, since then, the amount of variant covers in the industry sky rocketed, and I couldn't afford/got irritated with how many variants started being produced, so I am no longer a completist, but it was fun while it lasted. Before the 2000s there were far fewer variant covers made...having covers with different art (as opposed to newsstand variants or foreign price variants) was more of an indy thing which I recall Joe Linsner and Chaos! comics being at the forefront of.

Sorry, I got off-track...this is a regular limited edition print #1204/1500, but Joe did a nice remark on it as well (note: this is not one of his super-rare lettered remarques). I adore the blue eye within the purple ink.
