Cameron Stewart sketch of Shalla Bal

B15 - Cameron Stewart produced this voluptuous rendering of Shalla Bal, Norrin Radd’s lover from the planet Zeno La. I feel very fortunate that he was able to do this for me at a convention in Toronto in 2004 and I want to thank him again for it especially since he did it for free. He so wonderfully captures her beauty, her emotion and sadness for being separated from Norrin. The is the last sketch in the back section of my Silver Surfer sketch book reserved for his allies and enemies. I cannot think of a more committed ally nor a more beautiful drawing to end the back-section portion of my countdown honouring the 60th anniversary of the Silver Surfer.
