Description
Don Heck is another one of those polarizing artists. He was prolific but whether or not he was good sometimes is in the eye of the beholder. Much of his art leaves me cold but his run here on Rose & Thorn and early Avengers are really great. At least in my humble opinion!

On this page, you have sound effects galore leading the eye through the page and a "transformation" scene.

It should be noted that the transformation is surprisingly risque for a girl's comic, but we're going to ignore that point.

No problems with Heck for me. From his wonderful covers on Horrific, through his lovely work on Marvel anthology titles and then the Avengers, right through to his looser, freer style on runs like this - to me, Heck is one of the great storytellers in comics. Nice page.
