I had the pleasure of meeting Zoe Thorogood at OAX, and I’m pleased to have acquired this lovely piece. It was a piece Zoe had originally intended to include in her self-bio. It’s so introspective, I can relate to it. The anxiety in her eyes while at work possibly, or maybe tiredness; sadness?

This piece feels extremely intimate for Zoe, almost like it was never meant to be seen by anyone but her. And that makes it all the more special that she let it out into the world. Great pickup.

Really nice as she works, her imagination has that monster sitting next to her drawing board ready to take her away from her work.  Very much like a Miyazaki fantasy.
