TMNT The Last Ronin #1 p. 07

Any page from Issue 1 is special, as the entire book is essentially one extended raid sequence. The Escorza brothers pack it with nonstop energy and variety: slogging through the mud, high-speed chases, explosions, motorcycles, the tower assault, brutal synja fights, and more. There’s an incredible range of dynamic poses and visual themes throughout, and the brothers’ grittier, rough-edged style at this point in the series gives Issue 1 a raw intensity that really sets it apart.

This page stands out even within that context. It features the first appearance of Casey Marie Jones, one of the best (and my personal favorite) characters in the Ronin universe. Add to that a striking full-body Ronin panel, the iconic Casey Marie motorcycle imagery, and the presence of the ghost brothers, who only appear in two panels in the entire first issue, and this page offers an exceptional amount of story, character, and visual impact. For me, it elevates the page to an entirely different tier.
