Johannes Herbert "Johnny" Bruck was a German artist and illustrator, best remembered for his numerous cover illustrations for the Perry Rhodan science fiction franchise. In fact he was responsible for the majority of Perry Rhodan covers until his death. He also produced covers for Atlan Science Fiction magazines as well as Western covers for other magazines.
Per the ISFDB, his first cover was for Ein anderer Raum, eine andere Zeit (of Another Space - Another Time) by Herbert J. Campbell in 1953.


Perry Rhodan is a German space opera franchise, named after its hero. It debuted in 1961 and has been ongoing written by an ever-changing team of authors. Having sold approximately two billion copies (in novella format) worldwide (including over one billion in Germany alone), it is the most successful science fiction book series ever written.

Horst Hoffmann is a German author, also known under the pen name Neil Kenwood.
He studied art history and economics in his youth before deciding to become a writer. His first novel was published in 1976.
He started working on the Atlan series, and then on Perry Rhodan in 1982.
He announced his retirement from the Perry Rhodan writing team in 2009.
