Spider-man vs. The Hulk: Chaos on Campus!

Finally, here we have one of my most important comic art purchases ever. Definietely ranks among one of my top 5 favorite pieces in my collection. This piece has everything I could ever want. A Peter Parker/Spider-man Origin scene as well as a Bruce Banner/Incredible Hulk Transformation, by the artist who defined the Hulk's look for a generation during the 70s and 80s, the Late and Great Legendary Superstar artsist Sal Buscema. I finally picked this up at OAX 2026 after making a few timely payments after discovering it again at Heroes 2025. I had no idea that Sal Buscema had just recently passed away until my buddy Kahlil Gearon mentioned it to me at the OAX26 show. May he Rest in Peace.

I know Nick Barucci will definitely appreciate this piece, as he was an underbidder, just like I was when this piece was sold on Heritage back in 2021.

As per description on Heritage this piece was drawn by Sal Buscema and Al Milgrom Special Edition: Spider-Man vs. the Hulk Story Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1979). Sal Buscema has drawn most of Marvel Comics' core characters -- with his most recognizable being the Hulk. On this opening title page for a special edition comic included with The Columbus Dispatch newspaper, Buscema provides not only a transformation sequence of Bruce Banner changing into the Hulk, but a classic Peter Parker spider-bite image! A great page from a rare comic created in ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 14.75".
