Chris SPROUSE / Karl STORY; Star Wars #75 variant cover

When it comes to Star Wars comic art no one beats Chris Sprouse. His life-long love of the entire Star Wars universe shines through with every project and I'm grateful to the powers that be at Marvel who tapped him to handle the different themed variants these past few years. This cover (with masterful inking by Karl Story) came out of the Greatest Moments series and for an old-timer like me, it captures one of the most poignant scenes in any of the trilogies.

During shooting, Mark Hamill spontaneously added the kiss on her forehead and it remained in for subsequent takes. And of course, realizing this is the last scene Hamill shares with Carrie Fisher makes it all the more heartbreaking.

And I love that Chris added the younger versions of them too.
