Dutch from Predator

Jason drew this terrific rendition of "Dutch" from the movie Predator for me in 2005. At the time, I was commissioning Jason to draw a series of illustrations featuring characters from some of my favorite movies. He completed pieces featuring John McClane from "Die Hard", Trinity from "The Matrix", and the main cast from "Pulp Fiction".

Next in line was a two part commission featuring Dutch and The Predator from "Predator". Jason finished the "Dutch" portion of the piece and he did a fairly tight pencil version of The Predator. Unfortunately, Jason never completed the inks on The Predator. I kept the Dutch illo hidden in my collection in hopes Jason would eventually ink the Predator figure, and then I could release the pair on my CAF at the same time. Tragically, Jason passed away before adding the inks to the Predator.

This illustration of Dutch is a reminder of how incredibly talented Jason was and I hope that he is now someplace drawing in peace.
