Every now and then one comic book comes out that unexpectedly stands out and sets the bar higher. FF Annual 6, Silver Surfer 4, Doc Strange 55, UXM 268 come to mind. I believe the Golden Age issue from the XM / WildC.A.T.S. cross-over drawn by Charest belongs to that select group of comics.

I am so happy I can include one page from that fantastic issue as my example of Charest art. The detail, the delicacy of the line work, the storytelling are just out of this world. As a Marvel-only collector it is going to be difficult to beat this one when it comes to Charest art.

Speaking as someone who had zero interest in the crossover gimmicks, the artwork in this comic was so outstanding it demanded I buy a copy anyway.
