Killer!
Welcome to the Jungle baby!
Nice tonal work, effective negative space use, and a kick-ass, scary as hell Frank Castle. What more could you ask for?
Congrats! Matteo is becoming far too powerful.
Frank stalking like a panther!
favorite piece I saw at OAX....besides a couple long island iced teas and a plate of zingers
Oh yeah! Here it is! Congrats on a badass beauty!
Someone is about to have a real bad days! Beautiful!
Awesome Punisher from Matteo Scalera, love it!!!
This is pretty spectacular!
Bad @$$! Could see this scene in a movie with "Welcome to the Jungle" playing.
Perfect B&W rendition by Scalera! His shading is masterful. Great addition to your Dolph Lundgren collection.
The jungle background itself stuns, but then you start to notice the battle damage. Great detail in both, but that pose and facial expression hit like a bengal tiger! Scalera nailed this one and glad I was able to see it with my own eyeholes at OAX.
WoW!! Wonderful commission. Beautiful work. Congrats
Matteo put the work into the background on this one, an outstanding commission. Congrats.
Talk about light and shadow! Wow, this is exquisitely done and catpures that early Frank look so well. Congrats on this gem!
Hope this didnyt punish the wallet too much! Congratulations on a killer piece!
Whoa!! I think the work on the trees and background is just as impressive as the Frank Castle figure - both amazing from Scalera - congrats on the great result. Hopefully Marvel is still making Punisher comics in 2026 and beyond because this should be a published cover!
Love Matteo's work. This is tres' awesome.
Perfection! I love the use of shapes and light and dark to set the mood for this awesome piece.
Jeez, the background and shadows are incredible, congrats on the pickup!
Bill has to pick this in the weekly round up or do it without him! Been waiting for it to drop since seeing it at OAX. A truly outstanding work of art by Scalera.
I was hoping that this one was for you from the moment I saw it. Frank is a product of the urban jungle as much as the literal, and this piece conveys that perfectly and visciously. Needs to be a cover. Congrats Snorek.
Cover worthy for sure!!!
Jungle love! What a remarkable piece. Congrats Snorek!
Welcome to the jungle!
thks turned out so badass
You SHOULD be happy, because this is EXCELLENT!
This is pretty sick
...now that is something!!
Matteo Is a master
Emerges from the foilage to dole out some punishment! Great lighting effect. Congrats!
Freakin' insane. As if Matteo needed any further feathers in his cap in regards to his mastery of lighting and tonal excellence... you got this. Frank, emerging from the jungle, the Most Dangerous Game, like some big cat with Death in his eyes - more primal animal (or force of nature) than man here. I love the way the black of Frank's costume just melts into that lush Scalera forest, but the way Matteo draws Frank emerging into the light is fantastic. The gradiants of light (especially on the weapon in Frank's right hand) is amazing, and I know it's a weird thing to obsess over, but I can't get over Frank's right thigh holster. It just looks -exactly- right (and that whole right leg looks like a Gil Kane leg to me - awesome). And Frank just looks -MEAN- here. There are lots of commissions that can get your blood and adrenaline pumping, but very few of them leave you feeling nervous, like they might turn around and give you a paper cut out of spite. This is one of those exceptions. Beautiful pick up, Chris! Huge congrats!
Utterly insane, in a good way
Splendid commission of the Punisher stepping out of the jungle, uniform torn, guns out, grim look on his face. It really doesn't get much better than that. Superb ink washes by the incredibly talented Matteo Scalera. Fabulous pick-up, congrats!
