The Flintstones - The Prowler Layout Drawing

Picked up this layout drawing by animation artist Richard Bickenbach of Fred Flintstone, dressed as a burglar, from The Flintstones episode "The Prowler." The episode, which was the 14th in season 1, originally aired on December 30, 1960.

Bickenbach, who was a longtime animator for Hanna-Barbara and one of the first employees there, drew many of the studio's early model sheets and character designs, including Yogi Bear. Prior to moving to Hanna-Barbara, Bickenbach did animation and layouts for the cartoon studios at MGM and Warner Bros. He provided layouts for around 80 of the Tom and Jerry shorts during his 10 years at MGM.
