I want to say this is a bit of a "spoof"...but then, isn't all of the work in these books by Lou?

Anyway, Ms. Valentina Von Frankenstein is seen making fun of the "shorts" worn by Frank. Sort of makes me wonder if Karloff had any on when he was the monster?
