Conan - the Dance of Belit

They're really aren't enough words to express the joy this brings. Ok, ok, yes there are but you probably won't stick around for 'em.

Circa 1988/89 I received the Conan the Cimmerian portfolio 1 as a gift from my mom. It really was special, as I was sitting in Germany and a long, long way from my home. Conan was on the walls, plate by plate for awhile, one even travelled to the GulfWar briefly. My mom always supported my love of this art form, always. Even when she hated it. Anyway, fast forward 35 years or so and this beauty was shown as the OAX benefit piece. The exact usage of a Robert E. Howard quote, same beautiful work, just...new. I fell in love and was fortunate enough to win this at the OAX charity auction in January, and I'm simply over the MOON. Couldn't help it. Will frame this beauty surrounded by framed prints from a $10 portfolio from 1988. Meeting Bart, talking art, telling him the tale, having him sign all my Conan portfolio plates for free, just feeling the love was the absolute highlight of my OAX. CONAN FOREVER.
