SUPERMAN: The Animated Series Animation Cel featuring GREEN LANTERN POWER BATTERY!

In a rare moment, Superman holds the Lantern Power Battery in this original hand-painted cel setup as he learns the truth behind the ruthless Yellow Lantern Sinestro and how to aid the new Green Lantern in his first battle. Originally aired over 25 years ago on 2/6/1999 as Episode 7 of Season 3, this episode sees the Green Lantern Abin Sur being relentlessly pursued by Sinestro, the leader of the Yellow Lanterns. After he fatally crashes on Earth, Abin Sur's power ring which was granted to him by the Guardians of the Universe selects a young artist named Kyle Rayner to take up the mantle of Green Lantern. With Superman's help, Kyle learns how to control the power ring, and they work together to defeat the power-hungry, ruthless opponent Sinestro. Superman's half figure, measuring approximately 5.25" x 5.25", is displayed with archival tape over a print background for presentation purposes and can be seen at the 15:13 timestamp of the episode. Accompanied by a signed COA from Clampett Studio Collections and bears a Warner Brothers Production Art seal in the upper left corner. Purchased at Heritage Auctions.
