In our previous comic collecting days, we never got around to picking up any of the Marvel short-lived romance comics in the 1969/70s era. After seeing a few original pages and covers crop up at auction, the early issues of My Love and Our Love Story finally found their way onto the shelves, primarily for the artwork by John Buscema, John Romita and Gene Colan. All three artists drew wonderful 'ordinary' people as well as superheroes, and while we have doubts that these are 'real stories from real life' (not that we care), some of the artwork is terrific.
Almost nabbed this page at OAX2026 but waffled, then arranged to acquire it after the show. Absolutely love the great body language, especially in the middle panel. Don Heck isn't our preferred inker on Buscema, but he did a very capable job.
