BATMAN (DKR)

I don't own many sketch covers done by Ken Lashley. But this really packed a punch and had to get it. When I first started getting commissions at cons I had no clue what I was doing. What characters to get etc. Mike DeCarlo and Chris Campana were some of the first artists I ever approached and I went with Batman for both. For DeCarlo that makes sense. But yeah Batman was my go to choice. I always had this fear of asking an artist to draw a character either they wont draw/ don't know how to draw or can't draw well. And Batman always felt like a safe pick. Now in 2026 I can't recall the last time I requested an artist to draw Batman. And I love Batman. When I saw this one I felt it was perfect. I don't thing I have any Batman pieces of a Dark Knight Returns/ Frank Miller style. And Ken kept his style with infusing the Miller DKR design IMO.
