I don't know, I think even in the early 60's the American military would've destroyed the Atlanteans. Even without Silver Surfer's help!

Possibly yes. However this time the Atlanteans manage to unleash the power of the Serpent God on Earth.

Hmm, I hadn't accounted for that and it changes things. The Atlanteans may indeed have been able to turn the tables with that sort of power.

A fantastic page 1! I love the exposition. 

Lovely Levins page!  With Uatu being this close to the action (and him bringing us with him), I really get the feeling that we're seeing a "freeze frame" here (like a paused video) as he's narrating to us and drawing us in.  I don't know that I've ever felt that way during an Uatu "presentation" before... A -very- cool and really striking visual!  Congrats, Miki!
