I don't often collect DC pages unless they really speak to me, and this one did. I've admired Curt Swan's art during his long history on Superman, and while Aquaman isn't the character he's best associated with, it's still a fantastic splash highlighting Aquaman using his best known power of talking to fish! I also found this run unique in which Keith Giffen provided the rough layouts, to which Swan would supply the finished pencils to.

A powerful splash page from the climactic issue of this miniseries which saw Aquaman leading a resistance against an invasion of Atlantis perpetrated by giant, genocidal jellyfish! As the Atlantean forces make a last ditch charge to break the siege on Poseidonis, they find themselves aided by a massive army of sea life which is revealed here to be commanded by Aquaman. Swan and Vey do a tremendous job depicting the vast effort expended by the King of Atlantis here, perched atop one of the city's tallest buildings!
