October 31, 1960 Daily

This is another daily that was published in Pogo A La Sundae, but I'm including it in this gallery as it has Fremount the beetle and his mom in all of the panels. 

In this related storyline, Owl has moved on from supporting Fremount in his bid to be President since he believes Fremount is a cannibal ant lion. Owl now supports two unhatched eggs to be President and Vice President since the birds that will hatch will be pure and uncorrupted.  The bats find the unhatched eggs and promptly eat them!  Two of the bats are now pretending to be baby birds to make amends to Owl for their eating his current candidates and this strip has them meeting Fremount. (This sure is a pretty dense (and very clever) storyline for a "funny animal" strip!!!)
