Last Days of the Justice Society Special #1, page 43 (David Ross, Mike Gustovich, 1986) - The JSA's last hurrah (for now)

After Jay Garrick Flash is killed by Norse fire giant Surtur (don't worry, Jay is resurrected!), we get a nice midde row with closeups on Alan Scott Green Lanter, Wesley Dodds Sandman and Sandy, Al Pratt Atom, Star Spangled Kid and Powergirl, and Doctor Mid-Nite. Then some action shots of these JSAers, along with Hawkwoman, Hawkman, Hourman, and Ted Knight Starman fighting various Norse baddies to stave of Ragnarok.

I strongly disliked what this comic did to the JSA, and I thought the color printing in original published book made it hard to tell what all was happening (I don't think it was the colorist's fault). But the gorgeous linework in this original art gave me a newfound appreciation for the book.
