Cosmic Ghost Rider by Tek Javier

This piece is part of a larger collection of comic art sketch cards that represent friends I have met along the way in the comic art hobby. Some were chosen because the collector seriously focuses on that character, and others simply because I noticed a piece in their gallery and wanted to see a sketch card interpretation of that character. I decided not to name names, leaving the collection open to interpretation, since it reflects the community as a whole and the shared connections that make this hobby meaningful. Each card is a tribute to the friendships formed, the generosity of fellow collectors, and the joy of discovering characters through someone else’s passion.

This piece definitely speaks for itself, but if I have anything to say, it’s “Wow, Tek!” This is how I now envision the Cosmic Ghost Rider. All the exaggerated spikes, the wrapped chain drifting through the cosmos, and that incredible bubble helmet come together perfectly.

The inspiration for this piece came from a collector I’ve had the chance to visit with multiple years running. He is one of the few collectors who pulled me back into comics for some actual reading, and I’m grateful he did because the Cosmic Ghost Rider series was an absolute blast. We’ve had some fun chats at OAX, and he even helped me secure a few pieces for the collection thanks to last night and OAX 2026.
