Rhino - Holly Hawks

I always stop by Holly’s booth when I see her and her partner at a convention (https://realfantasticart.com/).

She has this whimsical, fantastic, dreamlike style that draws me in. She wasn’t taking commissions at Planet ComicCon, but took a take home request from me. “It may not seem like it, but I do well with big beefy guys.”

I like that this is a Rhino right out of Fantasia. I gave her reference for his purple armor look from the 80s and she tuned it into a nice vest. I can imagine him dancing next to a nice spring.

I also enjoy all of the process shots too. She told me that she had a lot of fun, and I believe it. I have a pet cat, so I like the Rhino on throne. And the other larger sketch reminds me of a Kingdom Hearts villain - nice and boxy-blobby.
