Cosmic and magical!  Surfer is unlike anything out in the far reaches of space!

Gorgeous, swirling Surfer!  I -really- love his physicalization here - a much thinner, more alien body type (perfect!!) - and the swirling cosmos here make me think we're seeing things directly through his eyes (which can obviously perceive more than our poor, substandard human visual receptors are able to process)...  It's no wonder the Surfer is such a poet; imagine spending eternity drifting through the vastness of space, bathing in the richness of these wonders and (I'm presuming) colors, literally reflecting upon the elegance of creation...

A piece that -perfectly- encapsulates what the Surfer is truly about at the core: wonder, hope, and (both internal and external) exploration.  SUPERB piece, Fred - huge congrats!

This was just in a portfolio when I saw him at Heroes a few years ago. I bought it immediately. He has become one of my go-to artists.
