HAPPY by Jeff Soto - water color on paper 2015

Birthday present for my other half, Ethan.  He is a big Jeff Soto fan, he's followed Jeff's art and purchased numerous prints and giclee over the years and we were long past due to get an original piece of his art.  He's done some really amazing poster work and the intricate detailing he does for various art forms both on paper and wood is really fantastic.  

Jeff Soto is Associate Professor of Art, Riverside City College and showcases his art and talents all over the US.  In May of 2024, he did the poster work for PEARL JAM when they played at the LA FORUM.  Music and art we thoroughly enjoyed.  

This piece, named HAPPY, I believe, is representative of our enjoyment for his artistry.  This "Happy" character is beautifully done, with some sharp wings, shards, belly mouth/face, cool colors and lots of fur, even some dangly bits.  The character is fun to look at and puts us in good spirits, HAPPY is a proud piece we hang on the wall to enjoy. Ethan has it in his office above his work station.
