It would have looked a lot more vintage and probably go for more of it wasn't for this plastic overlay that makes it look like 90's Golden.

Thank you for posting a scan of this terrific cover without the overlay! I missed this comic when it was originally printed and I had not previously seen this fantastic Michael Golden cover. The artwork looks great with the overlay, but seeing it without the cover dress and the UPC box is even more impressive. Big congratulations on adding this gem to your stellar collection!
