My second CAL 2026 Purchase was a nostalgic one for me. I always knew I was destined to buy a page from Infinity War...just always hoped an Eternity or Living Trubunal page from it would fall from the sky into my lap but happy with a Galactus!
Infinity War to 10 year old me was just simply awesome. It had so many cool characters, awesome fold out covers, the cosmic gods (whose power levels shown on the back of marvel cards I had then were off the charts) and high stakes. It brought together such a neat grouping of characters for me to see, many I was seeing for the first time, and in such a grand scale. It started my love for the concepts of Eternity and The Living Trubunal and the mythos of thr Marvel Universe.
My only access to comics at the time was buying them off a rack at a gas station and if I missed an issue.. i would probably never get it. I wasn't able to assemble all 6 issues until years later after finding my last missing one at an antique store that had a comic area. I both read each issue many tmany times and honestly spent a bunch of time simply staring at their pages. Infinity War was the first comic that inspired young me to try and draw some of the panels/characters...mostly Living Tribunal and Eternity.
Anywho...I knew I wanted a page from this and was happy to find this one on CAL that has a great grouping of characters, a big Galactus presence and a bit of oddity with the warped image of Galactus. Always like stuff with a dash of oddity.
SO BEHOLD!!! AN ENSEMBLE AND A GALACTUS IN AN INFINITY WAR!!

Ron Lim provided pencils and Al Milgrom handled inks for this character-packed half-splash from Infinity War #6 (1992), the final chapter in the six-part sequel to the epic 1991 cosmic crossover Infinity Gauntlet. The splash panel showcases many heavy-hitters from the Marvel Universe, including Galactus, Thanos, the Silver Surfer, the Hulk, the X-Men's Cyclops and Storm, the Fantastic Four's Thing and Invisible Woman, the Avengers' Captain America, She-Hulk, the Vision and Wonder Man, and Alpha Flight's Vindicator/Heather Hudson.
Ron Lim had big shoes to fill when he took over the Infinity Gauntlet series mid-way from comic art legend George Perez the artist did an amazing job of bringing writer Jim Starlin's magnum opus to life and was given the opportunity to illustrate both of the sequels to the series, Infinity War and Infinity Crusade.
