STUNNING. And, yeah - a ~perfect~ fit for Paul, right? Because it's a glimpse into the world he really hailed from? Pope's use of the vertical layout (and the one element you don't expect to find much of in the world of Blade Runner: a swath of open space) is sensational: everything from the car to the Pope-ian little balls of energetics to the buildings themselves feel like they're LAUNCHING upwards to underscore the peril of the detective's fall... It feels like nothing is constrained by gravity here... except for one... As you'd expect from Paul's work, the gritty details of the city are absolutely delicious, but (as always) it's his mighty sense of storytelling that's front and center on this one. I looked up the colored version of the cover and like it! While the colors aren't needed to enjoy the work here, I do like how they also serve the storytelling while maintaining that neon-future-decay feel. All in all an(other!) incredible Pope pick up, Jason! Huge congrats!
