Congrats on the Cool page from a great book by a stellar creative team!! Great story as well around how this series ultimately led you to the wild world of collecting original art. I guess you can thank Quantum Physics ;) - pretty cool that you met Dr.Kaku and at a comic show no less - my father got his doctorate in theoretical nuclear physics so I am connecting with both aspects of this comic art tale all around. 

I had always been intruiged by this series, so I gave it a shot several years ago. Unfortunately, I didn't respond to it the same way you did. It started off really well, but then not too long after I felt it suddenly got very boring so I dropped it. But I've always enjoyed the art, and that's the beauty of always being more interested in the art form than in the writing. I can always still enjoy a series for the art even when I'm not fond of the story. Anyway, this is a very coincidental post because I just watched Oppenheimer for the first time last week!

Get it. Definitely not a book for everyone. I don't think it ever got a proper finish either so there's that too. 

Oh, really? I never heard that. I was always under the assumption that it ended properly. I'm glad to know now, because it makes me feel a little better about giving up on it. I would've been seriously pissed off if I'd stuck with it all the way, only to find out it never got properly finished.

And to think that the movie adaptation won best picture!  Humble beginnings for Felix and your collection both growing as powerhouses!

I enjoyed both the story and the art on this series. It was a real hoot.  Would love to see more Pitarra art from it on CAF.

The first 20 issues remains, to me, one of the best reads of the teens. Great, key Oppenheimer page. 

Love it!!  I'm a huge fan of Pitarra's work, but my favorite thing about this may be the Jason K origin story. :)  A beautifully rendered moment and showcase of the Oppenheimers.  Jeez, this book was crazy and wonderful. :) Great pick up and fun post, Jason!  Congrats!
