Devil Dinosaur by Arthur Adams

This sketchbook is the one where I ask artists to draw something that they would enjoy and tell me why they chose to draw it.

With Arthur, I had no doubt that the answer would be a dinosaur or monster. Fictional dinosaur it is - the famous Devil Dinosaur! A creation of Jack Kirby's on his return to Marvel, Devil Dinosaur originated in a parallel universe from the "normal" Marvel one. His partner was an early human known as "Moon Boy." It wasn't a huge success, but it was kind of interesting and, yes, I bought all of them. :)

Arthur was offering 15m sketches and 30m sketches. This is a 30m one. At the time, I planned to pick it up on Sunday afternoon, but ...

A good friend of mine lives about an hour south of Charlotte and she invited Kathy and me to a late lunch with her sister providing transportation. We agreed of course. However, that meant I needed to reclaim two sketchbooks and one other piece of artwork. I started at the Essential Sequential area and explained my problem. If Arthur couldn't do it by noon, I needed the book back. No harm, no foul. Fortuneately, for me, he agreed to get it done. It was ready when I came back shortly before noon. Sadly, for me, I forgot to get him to write why on the back of the drawing because I was in such a hurry. Next year!

Not much else to say about this one other than I like it.
