He illustrated this Space Usagi last year and I kept looking and looking. I was hoping and then not hoping someone would buy this. Usagi Yojimbo is the only series that is complete. Stan has created a character that has a rich history and life.
Ian did an incredible job on Space Usagi. From the distance it looks good. Blow up the picture and see the nuisances and textures that add to the look. This is true for every piece of art that I own from him. The 3-D effect isn't obvious in a jpeg but it is in person. The usage of the grays and whites truly add to this piece. Zoom in on Usagi's face and you will see exactly how he layers for effect.
