Rhino - Jae Lee

Even more rare than people having drawn Rhino before is someone who says, “I really love drawing Rhino!” Jae fell into that exclusive category.

I chose him for a commission because his gothic style stands out on the stands. It is moody and shadowy and kinda creepy. He is a wizard with shadow.

His Rhino is monstrous and looks more like a creature than a man. Many people do broken horns, yet Jae turned them into daggers. Some of the detail under the eye almost looks like scales, almost like Rhino is metamorphosizing. And I like the shadowy half of his face with a shining eye - it makes me think of "The Thing" poster. This Rhino could easily star in a horror film.
