Description

I try to ask every commissioned artist, “Have you ever drawn Rhino before?” Generally, the answer is “no" unless someone has been around for years or had an extensive run on Spider-Man.

I was shocked when Jerome said “I hadn’t drawn him before today, but today I drew him twice.” Who was this other Rhino aficionado?

Well, it turns out that he just gave me 2 sketches for the price of one. He drew an entire angry Rhino before going with a more pensive look.

I like the skin folds here. You can tell that the suit is cumbersome. It is hot and stuffy during the summer. Rubble gets caught in the cracks and he never quite feels clean.

I’m now wondering if I should let an inker extraordinaire take a shot at the extra blue lines.

Completed at HeroesCon 2026.

"There's another Rhino guy???" I have the same reaction anytime I see a Stingray commission that isn't mine. Also, I think inks in the blue line one would be cool!

I get giddy when I (rarely) see a Rhino in an artist's pre-drawn portfolio, so I cannot imagine what you would feel if someone spontaneously drew Stingray!

I like the one he went with more. Rhino in repose.

Agreed.  Many artists assume that he can only smash.

Great choice for Jerome! I have a sketchbook solely for any character that has ever been published by Marvel and I have yet to make up my mind which artist I will ask to draw Rhino, but he's certainly a character on my list to include!
