This is a piece well worth breaking the collection in half. Like Drago said, I must break you - this page said the same to your collection. Even so, to be able to actually do it (and not just be willing to do it) is a great story in and of itself. I can't wait to hear the extended director's cut of the full back story. Congratulations, Carl. Throughout the history of comic book creation, there aren't many miracle-artworks for the ages. To me, this one checks all the boxes.

This is a maserpiece. As good as it gets. It's worthy of the term "grail" in every sense of the word.

There are a number of A level pages out there by artists who are considered A+ level creators. There are also a number of A+ pages by artists that are great, but perhaps not at the highest level of creators. A+ pages by A+ creators are a different category altogether. When you can find and acquire a page like this,  by an artist acknowledged as a master of the comic form,  its really pretty special. Well done Carl!

On a much smaller scale than this, I'm sure, I made a lot of hard choices (16, in fact) in 2018 to bring in a page that had been on my naively written want list of my most wanted comic art pages. Admittedly, the feeling of loss of some pages, which included many of my first purchases after I got into the hobby in the late 90s, lingered. However, it never canceled the high of attaining that one top-notch page that I had always wanted but never thought I'd get. Cheers to the sacrifices made to get this most iconic Weapon X splash.

regarding the published page colors, the scans I've seen (not the TPB) all still seem to be color corrected and too saturated (do an eyedropper sample of the word bubbles and you'll see they are 100% white).  This video shows the page from the comic and it's slightly a bit yellow (I'm attributing to the paper quality) and looks much better IMHO.
