Green Lantern: Brightest Day, Blackest Night p 48 final splash

The original Green Lantern, aka Alan Scott, and Irene Miller stroll through the twilight streets of Gotham City in this final image from the painted graphic novel chronicling the first meeting of GL and Solomon Grundy (based on the tale from the Golden Age). 

Snyder, known for his work on titles like Grendel and Suicide Squad, here creates a fantastic final splash in mixed media that, although a modern retelling, is a fitting homage to the Golden Age's Emerald Gladiator. 

I met the artist at a con and when I told him I had won this page at auction, he was very happy to know it had found a good home.
