Weird Science Cover Commission

I recently came upon an up and coming artist who goes by the name "Roman".  After showing me some of his artwork, I inquired about a commission to add to my collection.  Roman did a fantastic job putting a modern spin on a classic 1950's Weird Science cover. Instead of trying to recreate the original EC Comics style, he took the themes of strange science, space, and imagination and made them his own with bold graffiti-inspired lettering and vibrant colors. The more you look at the piece, the more little details you notice—from the rocket and astronaut to the blue alien cradling the Earth and all the bizarre characters scattered throughout. It's fun, creative, and has that same sense of wonder that made Weird Science such an iconic comic. This feels like a tribute, not a copy, and that's what makes it work so well. Roman's own style really shines through while still honoring the spirit of the original.  Art composed on a 11x17 Bristol of pencil, ink, and marker.
