Description

This guys preliminaries are better than most peoples finished work!!! Thank God his wife saved them from the bin as its likely that almost all his published artwork was destroyed. Companies used to treat originals like trash. I love this guys work. Got a whole heap more which I have to update. Sweet Rosie O' Grady comic strip from Wonder comic?

Fun pick up. Has a bit of that Bringing up father look about it. Congrats!

I like the awkwardness of her in the first two panels and then suddenly switches to confidence in her body language!

Nice to get a comment from the all seeing eye!  More accurately, two, which,  judging by your avatar, stay constantly open in goggle eyed astonishment at how much artwork is put on the site.

Pretty fun sequence leading to the final punchline! The art has a timeless classic feel to it, I'm also getting some McManus vibes from it. Would love to see more by the artist, congrats on this - and you are right, if you said this was a final and not a prelim I wouldn't have even known!

Thanks for the nice, incisive comment.I do have two final version panels that were actually printed  in a comic. They are incredibly rare. Will update them on the site soon, with a photo of the comic page they were printed in. I would kill to own a page or cover he did. The book on his artwork is incredible. Also have heaps of other prelims. Got a bunch off another collector who is downsizing his collection.
