RARE Original Art drawing of Obelix, from the animated cartoon series adapted from the classic Franco-Belgian comic series Asterix and Obelix by the legendary Albert Uderzo. It features an absolutely perfect large straight-on centered image, with use of blue pencil and red pencil, and is an outstanding example if you wanted just one piece in your collection featuring this legendary character. The full sheet measures approximately 10 3/4" by 16 1/2", and is 3-peghole animation paper (1 round, 2 rectangular). Please note you can see in the scan that the piece has wear and condition issues, although this is mostly around the sides and does not affect the main image. So the edges could easily be matted out if the piece were matted and/or framed so you would not see this. There is paper loss at the right side edge, as well as tears, and the paper on the right side where the numbers are is a piece taped on the backside with scotch tape. This is an outstanding and rare collectible piece that would look fantastic framed and prominently displayed, and is a must-have for the collection of any Asterix and Obelix fan and a perfect gift.
