There are usually about 50,000 Roy Krenkel sketches on sale at any given time, given the compulsive doodler he was, and usually I just pass over them since I prefer his more finished works. But when I saw this, I thought hang on, this is something rather better. Definitely has the feel of his early-sixties prime. No notion as to publication history; could have easily appeared in Amra or several other pubs.
