Hoover, Dave - Black Canary!

You know, I wasn't a big fan of Dave Hoover's back in his days on Captain America - his work was utterly obscured by the inking. Imagine my surprise when I'm seeing stuff posted by him on ebay that's so beautiful! I won this fantastic piece from him in 2001, and it's one of my (and my wife's!) favorites in my collection. Absolutely love that he did this in red pencil, it really makes it stand out from everything else in my portfolio. Pencil on 11x17 Bristol.
