A Bruce McCorkindale re-creation of a jungle girl by Frank Frazetta which first saw print in the Middle Earth Frank Frazetta Portfolio One! Pen, brush, ink, watecolors and mixed media on 13" x 20" Bristol board.
Frazetta during this period was proving that he could accomplish magnificence with simpler lines than the great detail he had used ono the Canaveral Press illustrations. He did this to great effect and Bruce managed to capture it here. I saw the Frazetta original once years ago at Albert Moy's table and was surpriced at how small it was - my recollection was that it was approximately 9" x 12", so Bruce's recreation here is considerably larger.
