Fantastic Four #282, page 18

The FF pursue Psycho-Man into the Microverse. I purchased a handful of pages from Jim Warden at a convention in the early 1990s. This was probably the least "sexy" page he had at the show... no X-Men, no FF, no characters depicted at all... just John Byrne's imaginative take on the FF's Kirbytech water-bottle microcraft buffeting through a Kirbyesque Microverse.

Yet, something about the black and white balance of the page just leapt out at me every time I tried to walk by and not purchase it. I'd already overspent for the show (including a previous visit to Jim's table), but this page just had such an impact on me... the depth and composition fairly hollered out from its place among the other pages on the table.

A few years later I saw the same comic page reprinted in a book (The Marvel Universe by Peter Sanderson), so at least one other person liked it, also.
