First Page of the COMPLETE SET OF STORYBOARDS for the FIRST FLINTSTONES EPISODE to Be Broadcast

This is the first page of the complete set of storyboard drawings that were used in making "The Flintstone Flyer." Although another storyline was begun earlier (The Swimming Pool), it was only partially animated (undoubtedly in an attempt to sell the series to sponsers based on some footage of the proposed show), the first storyline to be completely animated and broadcast was this episode. So this is much like the situation with the earliest Mickey Mouse cartoons, i.e., Plane Crazy was made first, but Steamboat Willie (the third Mickey cartoon actually made) is still considered the first Mickey Mouse cartoon since it was the first one released. Moreover, the storyboards for The Swimming Pool were done on separate, small pieces of paper, and that board has been dispersed, making this the earliest complete storyboard for the Flintstones (or as they were called then, the Flasgstones) to still exist.
