Description

Java is the lead character in Kensuke Okabayashi's series of the same name. Set in the year 2073, a plague has wiped out 98% of the world's coffee beans. In other words: global caffeine withdrawal! Eeeekkk!!! Java heads up an elite government team dedicated to thwarting nefarious coffee smugglers.

With that particular premise, obviously Okabayashi's wacky and exciting series was bound to appeal to me. A big "thank you" to Kensuke for doing this kicking sketch. After hearing about my coffee-drinking art theme, he seemed quite happy to contribute to it. Appropriately enough, this was drawn at the MoCCA art festival :)
