Allison Sohn Dawn

I've had good luck in acquiring the best Sohns. This is a rare vintage piece, I believe this is after the Kubert School and before Adam Hughes. It's large, 14" by 17" and apparently took awhile to finish witness the signatures, one in block letters dated 2000, one in script dated 2001, not to mention the one on the bottom that matches her current official signature. It's a different take on Dawn, but looks a lot like a thinly-disguised self portrait. It's obvious that a great deal of effort went into it. The bricks alone must have been a task, but were worth it for what they add.

Since posting this, I had a chat room encounter with Allison. She doesn't recall why this has three signatures and didn't bite when I hinted that this was a self-portrait. She posted this online and, to her surprise, had a person ask to buy it. She had to get is out of storage to sell it. From that I gather that this was done for her own amusement and suppose that the tiny scan on her gallery is the only one she made before parting with it.
