I discovered Jay Anacleto's art in a very round-a-bout way: Jose Villarubia!! I met him at Bride at Cape in Dallas this year and discovered his roommate dated my best friend during college (small universe!)....and it was Jose who suggested I take a gander at his fave artists right now who happened to be pinoy....Jay was one of those artists (Roy Allen Martinez was the other). I met Jay finally at SDCC 2007 this year after winning this auction on ebay from Kirk (thanks Kirk!). Jay is a real nice guy. Honestly, I haven't read @thena, inc but Jay's art is so intense and beautiful....any page whatever the writing (which I am sure kicks ass) is a work of art.....I don't know the story behind these two busty gals....but i gave them Legion-esque names for the hell of it......the piece is intense and can't help saying it.....visceral. My hope is to get on his commission list sometime before the apocolypse in 2012......
