Description
A nice set of consecutive pages from the story 'Intimate Enemies' from issue 232 of Iron Man (how I wish I had the cover for that issue). I've always admired Smith's work, in all its phases. I suppose part of the appeal was the fact that when I was reading Marvel Comics in the seventies, here was this young Brit who just went over to the Big Apple with his 'Kirby' influenced samples and made it. For a young boy who always had a penchant for wanting to draw comic books it all seemed very 'fairy tale'. I think he's one of the great stylists and he has been a big influence on many artists. These are some nice flowing panels that show his dynamism and very ably inked by Bob Layton. Nuff said

That issue was one of the strangest but most fantastic ever. Nice catch.
