The Last Son of Krypton Pt. 3: Prelim

Took me a while to upload this but here is my rough sketch of Kal-El's spaceship. To keep up with the contemporary take on his origin I referenced Leinil Yu's designs in Superman: Birthright. I wanted to avoid the crystal motif because I just saw a streaking ship a lot more dramatic than an overgrown star hurdling out of control giving the kid nausea. lol. As to the direction of the ship after much consideration I may just turn it upwards instead of down. Anyway this is etched on 9 x 12 paper with graphic pencils.
