A Distant Soil #30 OIL PAINTING Cover Colleen Doran

ORIGINAL COVER ART from the IMAGE COMICS edition of A Distant Soil circa 2000. Artist/creator Colleen Doran (Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman, Sandman) has spent many years working on her funky, cracktastic tale of aliens, their love lives, and the fabulous clothes they wear.

This original painting measures about 11"x14", and is in supreme condition, with no flaws whatsoever. VERY bright and clean color in Genesis Oils, an unusual kind of oil paint that dries on command at 250 degrees. It is more durable than oil, and should not flake, yellow, crackle or chip with age. DO NO VARNISH. Genesis Oils cannot be used with standard varnishes. this painting has been sealed with Genesis brand varnish and has a very interesting surface texture. It's an unusual piece, and you can see the glazing technique in the original. Naturally, the colors are more clear and bright than on this scan. One of the best covers in the series, from A Distant Soil #30.
