First off, the caption you see near the top isn't on the original art and isn't even the one they used when they published this. I made it up and photoshopped it in.
Dave Berg, best known for his "Lighter Side of" features in Mad Magazine also did girlie panel jokes like this one for Humorama. This apparently was used in 1967 and 1968 (it's not certain whether the notations on the back are really supposed to be dates), which would put it at least a decade after his involvement with Mad. It has his distinctive signature only as "Davy" Berg, which would fool nobody.
The actual captions on the back and front, are horrible, long, awkwardly wordy ones about overtime and being late for work. I came up with two of my own. The first, "Thanks to the union, I charge more per hour than she does!" is a step up, but no cigar. .
The one you see made my wife laugh like crazy when I stuck it on over the glass on its frame so I consider it a hit. This references a 1966 hit song that begins, "If I were a carpenter and you were a lady...."
